Responsible for the formation and execution of Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts’ (UICA's) marketing and communication plans. Responsible for all matters pertaining to UICA marketing and communication while interacting professionally with other employees, customers, and UICA patrons. Maintain the UICA brand and mission by providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position with a maximum of 28 hours per week.
The Coordinator will develop and manage the Marketing and Communications calendar, and will concept and execute the following:
- Advertising; to include direct mail, print, radio, online banner and/or social media campaigns, and billboards.
- Marketing; to include in-house collateral, email, newsletters and announcements, social media, signage, fliers, and invitations.
- Online; to include UICA’s website copywriting and page design, SEO and analytics reporting
- Public relations and press, to include drafting and distribution of all UICA press releases, cultivation and maintenance of relationships with local, regional and national reporters (print, radio and television).
- Responsible for maintenance of overall brand standards as they apply to all of the above.
The Coordinator will provide and execute marketing plans for the following areas:
- Film exhibition
- Art exhibitions and performances
- Special events (fundraising)
- Special events (non-fundraising)
- Membership
- Fund development
- General business development – New initiatives, space rentals, education
The Coordinator will assist in institutional goals of increased daily attendance, and increased attendance and participation at events.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience in the field.
Required Work Experience: At least one year of prior experience in a similar environment
Preferred Work Experience: Two year’s experience as a marketing and/or communications assistant or higher; or equivalent
