Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience working in equipment intensive environment/hands on experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in a technical discipline or completion of a registered apprenticeship program
Experience in maintenance, construction, HVAC, equipment installation, fabrication and welding, hydraulics and pneumatics, or plumbing and piping systems
Good mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading capabilities
Must be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere
Able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skills
Ability to work independently and with initiative

Primary responsibilities:
Assist Facility Engineers with completion of capital projects
Install, move, or modify plant equipment
Procurement of repair parts, spare parts, or raw materials as needed
Update or create new schematics and drawings
Provide technical assistance to maintenance staff for repairs and modifications
Create and implement preventative maintenance and repair procedures
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
