Mainteannce Technician Job Summary:
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain shop and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Company's business goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform varying duties to install and maintain the facility's equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of shop equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs as required.
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines, including but not limited to vertical machining centers, lathes and boring mills.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of the facility's equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to the facility's equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Promote and comply with good safety practices and habits, including but not limited to, use of all PPE.
- Must have flexible work scheduled to provide support when needed outside normal working schedule (i.e. weekends and holidays).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED. A college or technical degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.
Maintenance Technician Experience & General Characteristics:
- Minimum of 2 years experience with hand and welding tools.
- Any machine, safety, or other related manufacturing certifications is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems including solid state motor drives, overhead traveling cranes, propane forklifts, hydraulic circuits and programmable logic controllers.

- Manufacturing experience, and proven training or experience operating specific equipment and motor vehicles.
- Knowledge of operations efficiency and division equipment, as well as the use of basic math skills and use of precision instruments.
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and proven ability to work in teams and independently.
Most important requiremnts for this position:
- PLC troubleshooting on controllers (specifically Seimens)
- Electrical schematic and blueprint reading
- Machine tool (CNC equipment) preventative maintenance background
