This position is focused on developing competencies, skills and behaviors of the employees at all levels of the organization with measurement processes to validate growth consistent with the requirements of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) which is FCA’s lean manufacturing methodology. This position will promote workforce engagement through the establishment of a robust suggestion program driving continuous improvement and efficient and effective methods of communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Manage all activities of the People Development Pillar and direct the development of the People Development team
•Oversee the development of training plans aligned to the plant’s needs, budget and year-end targets
•Ensure proper development activities /methods are utilized at all levels of the organization
•Establish and manage the process of developing and certifying internal and external trainers to support the training plan
•Set the People Development targets, establish the activities and measure the results of each activity to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
•Develop programs for the certification of all employees in both World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods and tools as well as technical/professional disciplines
•Establish and support activities to build a culture of engagement and participation in WCM including employee suggestion process
•Establish and support activities to foster communication of key plant and company information at all levels of the organization by optimizing the communication network
Human Resource professionals are challenged to take on responsibilities that will enhance their skills in leadership, problem-solving and communications. They work in teams and individually to accomplish goals and move the organization forward. This position is heavily involved in World Class Manufacturing activities and will involve working variable shifts, including weekends.
Basic Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree
•HR Generalist, manufacturing or supervisory experience
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
•Available to work variable shifts, including weekends
•Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to present in front of an audience
•Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to successfully interact with all levels of management and union
Preferred Requirements:
•Advanced degree with concentrations in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
•Experience as an HR Generalist in an industrial setting
•Labor relations and employment experience
•Exceptional oral and written communications skills
•Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
•Experience leading projects or teams
•Strong follow-up skills
•Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
•Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems
•Knowledge of World Class Logistics methodologies
•Ability to interact with all levels of management and union officials to accomplish goals
