Fairfield Inn and Suites is looking to fill for a houseman position.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for the cleaning and maintaining all public area of the hotel to include lobby, lounge, meeting rooms, guest laundry, public restrooms, hallways, stairways, vending areas, pool area, and all outside areas to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide the highest level of service to the guest at all times
- Clean and maintain the lobby, lounge area, and areas as noted above as needed, but at least once each day
- Vacuum corridors and stairways
- Clean glass indoors throughout the hotel
- Clean outside entrance and parking lot; Pick up trash and debris
- Assist in the distribution of soiled linens to the laundry room
- Clean and maintain floor linen rooms
- Distribute clean linen to the floor linen rooms on each floor
- Empty trash and linen from housekeeping carts
- Empty all trash from linen rooms to dumpster
- Maintain and repair all manageable mechanical operations and equipment including, but not limited to: Electrical wiring (switches, lamps)
- Small plumbing problems (fixtures, pipe replacement) Windows, doors, locks, and keys
- Drywall repair, wall papering, painting, caulking Equipment maintenance (washer, dryer, HVAC, vacuums) Furniture and upholstery repair
- Swimming pool upkeep
- Report any maintenance issues to Housekeeping Manager immediately
- Repeated bending, stooping and lifting/moving weights up to 30 lbs. as well as prolonged standing/walking
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor, of which you are capable
Customer Service Standards:
- Acknowledge a guest immediately with a smile and a friendly greeting using 10 foot rule
- Handle guest requests immediately; Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel
- Stop personal/business conversations among Associates in order to assist guests
- Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
- Offer improvement ideas and acknowledge good performance of others
- Practice safety standards at all times
- Comply with all rules and regulations of the company and those as outlined within the Associate Handbook
- Wear proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance
- Provide a professional image for our guests by keeping a proper attitude toward co-workers, promoting teamwork, and helping to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the hotel
