This includes wiring harnesses, connection systems and cable management solutions.
Overview
Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Design Release Engineer role on Ford Vehicle programs. Major roles and responsibilities:
•Main interface between Aptiv and Ford for all design related items for wire harness design on HV battery pack programs.
•Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design and release components.
•Responsible for product design (wiring) and development from prototype phase to production.
•Responsible for DVP&R (Design Verification Process and Report) to validate product according to customer requirements. Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferrd Qualifications:
•OEM design release experience.
•High Voltage battery pack design (wiring).
•Understanding of Ford's design requirements and processes .
•CATIA/Team Center knowledge.
•Problem Solving skills - Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think quickly and adeptly about how to effectively address issues when they arise, implement effective risk mitigation plans as needed.
•Strong Communication skills - Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people clearly and effectively.
•Excellent Presentation skills - Ability to confidently deliver an engaging message to a group of people which achieves the objectives.
•Delivering Results - Consistently achieve excellence in all tasks and goals. Results driven with high levels of initiative and accountability.
