The General Assembly (GA) Process Manager will perform vehicle assembly studies for the Advance Vehicle Process GA division to support Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) next generation new models at all Product Committee, Industrial Committee, Group Product Committee Ad Executive Council discussions. This position will oversee the development of AutoCAD plant layouts, generate process solutions including conveyors and process equipment, perform and analyze investment calculations based on the technical solution and create product/process details. The Process Manager will lead a team of union represented engineers and will be responsible for all General Assembly studies at all NAFTA assembly plants.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•3+ years of vehicle launch experience
•Understanding of major systems, equipment and conveyors within General Assembly
•Ability to develop an entire General Assembly center layout/plant site plans
•Ability to review and learn the process flow of all FCA assembly plant within the NAFTA region
•Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to present process solutions/alternatives to senior leadership and peers
•Proficient in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Excel
•Self-motivated and ability to achieve results under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
•Degree in Engineering
•5+ years of vehicle launch experience within General Assembly
•Understanding of assembly equipment pricing and assembly equipment standards
•Understanding of FCA development system and FCA project management
•Project management experience
