Material Planner/Scheduler
•Fosters a positive attitude towards company and personal goals.
•Proactive engagement in the identification and resolution of material continuity gaps.
•Embraces a continuous improvement approach with high levels of integrity and performance for his/herself and others (co-workers, suppliers, customers, etc.)
•Ability to drive and enforce accountability within the supply chain.
•Develop and monitor production schedules to establish operational sequence and lead time requirements needed to meet shipping dates driven by customer requirements.
•Works with department supervisors to determine status of production plan, supplier performance, build schedules and other assigned projects.
•Expedites operations and material which may delay production schedules or create necessary schedule modifications in order to avoid customer shipment delays and/or production downtime.
•Compiles and maintains manual or systemic records used in managing material inventory, in-process production, and status and location of material.
•Evaluates the effectiveness of existing information used for production planning and process systems. Effectively manages inventory levels in accordance with company objectives and supports both production requirements and customer demand.
•Supports the resolution of inventory issues as needed.
•Promotes and engages in principles of employee involvement, team building and continuous improvement.
•Uses MRP system (Oracle) and PC based software for tracking and generation of reports.
•Analyzes a variety of data to generate actionable conclusions that are executed.
•Helps develop, implement, and support long range department goals that successfully meet and exceed company goals and objectives.
•Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal / external suppliers and customers.
•Adheres to Corporate policies and procedures
•Minimal travel is projected, projected at one week or less per year, with the flexibility to accommodate as required.
•Other duties may be required as assigned
