APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT DELIVERY LEAD/PROJECT MANAGER (Full-time | Grand Rapids, Michigan)
The Application Development Delivery Leadowns expectation management around one or more delivery engagements. In this role, you will be responsible for story, task, and deliverable management, as well as overall client cadence, status reporting, Agile/SCRUM process and framework management, as well as traditional project management. This role requires keen facilitation and cross-functional skills across multiple projects within the Application Development practice. You will also partner with our Lead Consultants to engage deeply with our consulting teams and clients to ensure the success of each project. You will drive teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment to delivering excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serve as a common thread from project inception through delivery while ensuring scope, timeline and budget commitments are upheld
* Manage and communicate changes to scope and properly mitigate risks
* Ensure deliverable quality measures are met and completion definitions are achieved
* Provide status reporting including sprint and budget burndown as well as tracking and measuring sprint velocity
* Help lead operational controls including resource management, financial approvals & sales processes
* Lead and drive multiple, concurrent projects
* Facilitate discussion, decision-making and resolution of key project workloads such as business requirements, user stories, sprint planning and retrospectives.
* Support and help drive yearly client portfolio and program management goals
* Effectively manage client and team expectations
* Manage sprint deliverables and backlog; serve in a scrum master capacity as necessary
* Provide day-to-day project oversight and delivery
* Become a trusted advisor with clients
* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
* Communicate effectively and facilitate removal of roadblocks
* Facilitate all project team meetings (stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, etc.)
* Ensure discussion and delivery of requirements
* Ensure accountability within the team
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 4 years of project management experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an Application Development team environment, providing knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with Agile or SCRUM development methodology and terminology
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated collaboration capabilities across all levels of an organization.
* Self-starter with an ownership and accountability mindset
* Thrives on facilitating collaboration and getting stuff done by influencing stakeholders
* Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated capability to identify, propose and implement continuous process improvement and organizational innovations.
* Strong skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products; Especially Excel and Word
* Working knowledge of project management and agile framework tools such as JIRA/Confluence, Visual Studio, Trello, etc. a plus
* Scrum Master Certification or equivalent training or willingness to attend training in the first 6 months of employment
* Bachelors degree
