EMT Basic/Specialist - Emergency Department - Per Diem (EME001625)
The EMT BASIC/SPECIALIST works under the direction of the REGISTERED NURSE, MANAGER PATIENT CARE and/or SUPERVISOR, NURSING.
Promotes and exemplifies the mission and values of The Sisters of The Third Order of St. Francis and supports the goals of OSF Healthcare System; performs clerical and clinical duties essential to the facilitation of delivery of quality patient care; under the direct supervision of a REGISTERED NURSE, MANAGER PATIENT CARE, SUPERVISOR, NURSING, and EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PHYSICIAN OR MID-LEVEL PROVIDER.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•State of Michigan licensed EMT Basic or Specialist or Medical First Responder.
•High school graduate or equivalent.
•One (1) year previous experience as EMT Basic or Specialist or Medical First Responder.
•Maintain State of Michigan Licensed EMT Basic or Specialist or Medical First Responder.
•Must complete any training and other requirements specific to the position within 3 months of entering the position or possess equivalent education/training (i.e., 12 lead EKG generation, etc.).
•Must maintain current CPR certification.
•Ability to pass a basic Medical Terminology test
