Knowledge and Abilities - Must know how to use cleaning devices, correct solutions and materials. Must be able to follow schedules and Facility procedures. Able to give and receive written and oral instructions and directions in English. Possess basic and accurate mathematical skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient conditions and personal matters.

INTERPRETATION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Perform Routine and Periodic Cleaning
*1. Dust mop and wet mop assigned areas including patient rooms, bath-rooms, utility rooms, common areas, work station, medication room (under nursing supervision)
*2. Dust horizontal surfaces daily
*3. Refill all soap and towel dispensers
*4. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly and other cleaning duties as assigned
*5. Transport waste including wastebasket trash and special bags containing contaminated waste to main collection receptacle or outdoors
*6. Vacuum carpeted areas.
7. Make beds on cleaned vacant unit(s) as assigned. Must be able to clean up to four patient rooms in one hour, including damp mop.
