General Description:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is accountable for the day to day functions of the Inventory Control team, which include: Inventory accuracy, ERP system transactions, material movement, cycle counting, and overall production support. The Inventory Control Supervisor's main function is to prevent production downtime due to material issues, and ensure inventory accuracy issues are resolved immediately with actions put in place to prevent further issues.
Duties Include: for all Tubelite locations
•Manage the "Plan For Every Part" (PFEP) for all purchased, work-in-process and finished goods inventories that includes database management, stocking levels, space requirements, address system and replenishment process.
•Develop, implement and maintain material policy, procedures and material control systems that support the Company's value stream maps. Drive transformation to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions.
•Provide daily cycle counting paperwork to the cycle count team.
•Ensure reconciliation of any out of tolerance cycle count issues.
•Track cycle count issues to identify recurrence and create action plans to reduce or eliminate inventory errors from happening again.
•Supervise the day to day functions of the cycle counters.
•Report daily metrics on Inventory Accuracy, and also include status of action items of inventory accuracy improvements.
•Respond immediately to production material requests to minimize production downtime and support productivity metrics.
•Prioritize work in each area to ensure work is completed as scheduled.
•Reconcile any stock discrepancies immediately.
•Assist other areas when needed.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
•AS degree or above in related field
•3 years demonstrated leadership experience, in a manufacturing environment
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Excellent problem solving skills with a track record of obtaining results and driving change
•Experience using Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
•Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office software
•Strong attention to detail
•Ability to read and understand work instructions and work orders
Preferred Requirements
•Undergraduate degree
•Experience in production supervision in a low volume, high mix environment
