This position is within the Enterprise Project Management Services Department under Project Closeout. The Project Closeout group supports projects statewide for Generation and Gas Compression and Storage. This position will provide support in the area of Project Closeout for Gas Compression and Storage projects.
Project
The Senior Technical Analyst II performs complex analytical, technical and administrative tasks. The scope of responsibility requires individual initiative to assimilate data from various sources and factor multiple systems or processes into decisions. Analyzes the data and develops technical solutions, systems, or procedures and implements recommendations. This analysis includes, but is not limited to operational analysis, technical design, system troubleshooting and project coordination.
Job Description/Responsibilities
This individual provides support and direction specific to configuration control, data management and project management. They ensure newly installed or modified equipment is properly classified and identified, requiring the interpretation of technical drawings, P&ID's, schematics and wiring diagrams. They analyze and interpret technical data to create equipment records, maintenance plans and bill of materials within SAP. They will provide leadership and creation of process controls and development to help the department and organization function more effectively and efficiently. They will assure identified deliverables have been met by the project and provided to the customer for operations. They may also be involved with supporting individual business units with SAP Data Management initiatives.
This position reports to the Project Closeout Lead within the EPM Quality organization. They will support, manage and track the Closeout process from initiation to Final Acceptance of all EPM managed Gas Compression and Storage projects. They will work with the project team and our customers to verify all applicable deliverables have been met in a timely manner.
Some specific duties include:
•Assist with the development and revision of the Master Data/Equipment List for individual projects
•Create and assure completion of Interim and Final Acceptance Closeout documents with identified responsible parties
•Assist with identification of equipment needing tagging or maintenance plans
•Enter related information into SAP including but not limited to; Technical ID's, Maintenance Plans, BOMs and Functional Locations
•Work with Project Engineers and Document Controls to assure as-builts are provided to our customers at In-Service and final drawings are issued for record or release at Final Acceptance. Assure Emergency Plan has been updated.
•Assist in Monitoring and Controlling punch list items.
•Assist Cost Engineer and Financial Services to provide unitization information for Financial Closeout.
•Assure Compliance and Testing documentation has been provided.
•Verify project binders have been reviewed and scanned for record
This position will be located at the Jackson - Parnall office in Jackson, MI OR the J.H. Campbell Plant in West Olive, MI.
Required Qualifications
•4+ years of applicable working experience. A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of study.
•Less than a Bachelor's degree may be acceptable if accompanied by extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.
The following skills may set you apart from others:
•3+ years of related Gas Compression and Storage experience
•Understanding of SAP, equipment identification, functional locations, P&ID's, WD's, databases and the functionality of both mechanical and electrical equipment.
•Possess exceptional communication skills, strong customer focus and good understanding of software functionality to provide support and direction to successfully support process and data management initiatives.
