Job Description
The Operation Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a safe and secure route operation by professional route personnel. They will proactively ensure the highest level of service for each customer by assisting to properly route the staff routes.
The Operation Manager will be responsible for:
1. Daily operations including both established routes and customer required specials.
2. Assist with creating efficient route schedules that will satisfy customer requirements.
3. Set route standards and monitor route activity to ensure that routes are run in the most efficient manner. Assist in planning for improvements, changes and restructuring of routes.
4. Monitor/overseeing audit of route paperwork, drivers logs, vehicle logs, and inspection reports. Enforcing policies regarding proper signatures, dates, times, etc. on all paperwork.
5. Assist with monitoring and updating of route crew qualification (drivers licenses, medical status, required permits and physical ability of personnel.
6. Communicating with customers and answering questions regarding service.
7. Supervising, training, coaching, and counseling route personnel to ensure compliance with
8. Assist in monitoring and maintaining necessary route supply inventories.
9. Perform other duties as required. This may include special projects.

Skills and Qualifications
1. A positive leadership and supervisory presence is required.
2. Ability to work a varied schedule and "on call" is required.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to teach, coach and present to small groups required.
4. Experience in transportation and warehousing, transportation logistics, or related field.
5. Computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.
6. Proven Customer Service orientation required.
