We are seeking someone to perform the following:
- Prepare and review loan documentation for commercial real estate and business loans with multiple levels of complexity involving personal and entity borrowers and guarantors, as well as collateral, repayment, and rate structures.
- Tasks include review of legal/entity documentation, title work, and collateral perfection to prepare entire loan closing packages
- Responsible for ensuring loan documentation complies with banking federal regulations, loan policy and guidelines, and terms of Bank approval.
- Work with loan assistants, credit staff, lenders, branch staff, retail loan group, management, and loan review as needed to validate that documentation needs and loan structure adhere to loan documentation regulations and guidelines.
- Address documentation discrepancies and policy exceptions as needed.
- Assist with training Loan Documentation Processors on commercial documentation process and requirements.
- Assist with on-going questions and issues to ensure accurate file completion.
- Provide training to new Credit Analysts and Loan Assistants on understanding the loan documentation structure, systems, and processes.
- Perform exception tracking.
- Monitor or perform collateral recording in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with UCC regulations.
- Accurately apply procedural knowledge and guidelines for appropriate handling of documents on post-close files.
- Knowledge of federal & state regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, those related to trusts and flood insurance.
- Provide customer support and servicing.
- Assist/support Loan Servicing and Document Specialists as well as Commercial Lending Group as needed.
- Assist with letter of credit documentation and on-going monitoring of letter of credit renewals with file approvals and system input and monitoring audit info.
The candidate must have:
- Strong knowledge of requirements and regulations of commercial loan documentation (commercial real estate and construction loans knowledge is preferred along with knowledge of SBA standard operating procedures and letter of credit rules and regulations)
- Title work experience and knowledge
- Analytical and computer skills are required to analyze documentation, identify deficiencies, understand collateral procedures and work with system databases
- Ability to work independently and to prioritize and adhere to deadlines
