The Michigan Carpenter and Millwright Training Program is seeking Millwright Apprentices.

The Carpenter & Millwright training facility in Marquette, MI provides training for all Millwright Apprentices in the Upper Peninsula. Apprentices attend their school sessions in a "block training" format, attending for one week at a time, four times per year. Apprentices must complete a total of 640 hours of related training over four years. Upon completion, Millwright Apprentices will receive their Millwright Journeyman certification.

• Must be at least 17 years old to apply and 18 to work for some contractors
• Must have a drivers' license and pass drug screening
• Some travel required; most contractors are in the central U.P.
• Work on a graduated pay scale, beginning at 60% of journeyman pay and increasing 5% every 6 months. Earn while you learn!
• Scheduled working hours are dependent on the contractor
• No prior experience necessary, just a good work ethic and interest in learning
• Training occurs in Marquette,  MI.
