Job Description
Responsible for the oversight and management of a staff accountable for ensuring the successful completion of all customer requested distribution work in a geographical or functional area. Staff consists of 2-5 leaders (exempt employees) with a total organizational span of control of 25-75 CE FTE's and necessary contract resources (1-20). Annual staff payroll and expenses range between $2 and $5 million annually.
Responsible for ensuring successful business operation in a cost effective fashion while maintaining a safe work environment. Leads and develops front line supervisors in both business knowledge and technical skills; provides project management oversight on the scope, schedule and cost of programs; applies thorough understanding of policy coupled with leadership skills to resolve process and employee issues.
Initiates and leads change to improve results. Must be a significant change agent and skilled in relating to employees, customers, stakeholders, and executive leadership. Seeks to build and maintain strong relationships with a large cross-functional team of peer leaders in partnering organizations to ensure the efficient management of work throughout the Work Management process.
The Zonal Project Coordination Manager is required to develop unique strategies to improve our customer's experience regionally. It is essential to build strategic relationships with municipal leaders and key clients (Builders and Developers) with the purpose of developing local processes that improve customer satisfaction.
Beyond normal leadership responsibilities, the Regional Project Coordination Manager is expected to assume a leadership role during storm or other unexpected operating situations to manage and direct employees from other departments.
Responsibilities
•Mentor, lead, develop and direct distribution project leaders, who's coordination and technical teams are responsible for all regional gas, and/or electric, customer requested service design and distribution project coordination.
•Develop business strategies leveraging Lean principals from the CE way to achieve key performance indicators and EICP objectives including Customer On Time Delivery.
•Lead development of and implementation of key organizational initiatives to improve customer service and improve satisfaction.
•Build strategic relationships with municipal leaders and key clients (Builders and Developers) with the purpose of developing local processes that improve customer satisfaction.
•Support the Long-term forecasting model by assisting with short and long term staffing and financial forecasts.
•Ensure compliance with all Consumers Energy's policies and procedures, code compliance, and MPSC requirements.
This position may be located at one of the following locations: Jackson, Lansing, & Kalamazoo
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical or business related field (OR) extensive company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.
•Requires 5 or more years of applicable experience.
