Our client, founded in 1948, is one of the top solution providers for both office and residential interior and exterior spaces in the world, competing with top rivals Steelcase, Herman Miller and HNI Corporation offering a full range of workspace products including desks, chairs, tables, storage products and modular walls. The Human Resources Business Partner/Engagement Director will report directly to the Global Human Resources Vice President. The Human Resources Business Partner/Engagement Director will be an experienced human resources executive with business acumen, vision and demonstrated experience as an advisor to the leadership team with respect to current and future organizational and human capital needs. This individual will function as Human Resources Director supporting company leaders to help build organizational capability to meet financial and strategic goals through effective management of the corporation’s human capital. The Human Resources Business Partner/Engagement Director will communicate with all levels of management and serve as a champion of organizational management success and member engagement. They will also be responsible for ensuring company human resource programs are consistently administered in compliance with regulations, company policies and culture values. The Human Resources Business Partner/Engagement Director develops, implements, and administers member relations plans, policies, and programs in support of human resources strategic objectives and North American business strategies. While this Director draws heavily on his or her own extensive experience and training in analyzing the strengths and needs of the organization, he or she will network extensively with other senior managers in the organization to take advantage of their knowledge, understanding and insight. This position requires an experienced and empathetic leader with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 15 years of increasingly responsible management experience including five years in human resources management positions. In addition, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, industrial relations, or law degree. The ideal candidate will currently, or most recently, have experience as the top human resources executive supporting a business unit or division of a larger organization. Alternatively, this executive may be in other human resources roles supporting one or more functions. While the specific industry is not as important, experience in a manufacturing company would be strongly preferred. The key skillset we seek is a human resources executive who has functioned as the “business advisor” and consultant to line executives. We need this executive to be capable of hitting the ground running. This individual must have a big picture mindset with the ability to identify the future human capital needs of the organization.
Compensation requirements include a base salary and an annual bonus. Other details unrelated to compensation will be discussed on an individual basis.
