Position Description:
- Participate in the pursuit of new business by coordinating manufacturing inputs to proposal documents and pricing activities. Activities include estimating direct labor, estimating equipment and tooling, generating persuasive rationale to support pricing, and participate directly in the negotiation process with the customer.
- Develop labor budgets, monitor performance, and initiate corrective actions across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Prepare special studies involving all levels of manufacturing cost comparisons, and be able to articulate recommendations and risks to all levels of management.
- Interface directly with executive leadership by reporting on new business opportunities and performance measurement.
- Utilize Learning curves in their applications as related to manufacturing proposals and new business development.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) is beneficial.
- This is a corporate staff position. Occasional travel to manufacturing locations is required.
Position Requirements:
- Must have a high degree of oral and written communications skills and ability to interface with multiple levels of management
- BS Required in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent Engineering discipline with appropriate experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience required -
- Experience with Cost Estimating required -
- High degree of P/C skills required to include PowerPoint and Excel. Visual Basic skill preferred.
- Experience working with large data sets. Able to perform data queries and data warehousing.
- Must have ability to move freely and feel comfortable in a manufacturing plant.
- Must be authorized to work in the US
