The Public Safety Officer is the principal university agent responsible for carrying out the police functions of the Ferris State University Department of Public Safety. These functions include protection of life and property, preservation of the peace and good order of the university community and the furnishing of various services to enhance and smooth university operations. Required: A minimum of an Associate Degree is required; or the agreement to complete an Associate’s Degree within two years of the date of hire. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and MCOLES certification.
