TITLE: TEMPORARY COMPUTER TECHNICIAN – HELP DESK ASSISTANT

Job Summary:
Assist Computer Technician-Help Desk personnel with the installation of new and existing IT based computer equipment during the transition from the existing hospital to the new hospital. This position will be a 1099 based employee with a limited term between the dates of June 4, 2018 through August 31, 2018. The position will be mainly a day shift position between hours of 6AM and 6PM however occasionally evening or weekends may occur. Hours will be determined on a weekly need with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
1. Installation of computer equipment including PCs, laptops, variety of scanner & printers, telephones, digital copiers, etc. including:
Assembly
Connectivity
Testing
Verification of operation
2. Must be able to complete the physical, sensory and mental requirements of the position.
Additional Responsibilities:
Additional duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one-year technical school training in Information Technology including the support of personal computers and associated operating systems.
Working Conditions:
Potential exposure to Latex products, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous materials, and communicable diseases. Occasional lifting of a maximum of 50 pounds and ability to travel to various BAMC facilities to provide the necessary support.
