The Powertrain Systems and Controls Quality Manager is responsible for working closely with service suppliers and internal Quality, Engineering, Technical Service, Purchasing and Marketing groups in the coordination and support of:
•Leading a cross functional team, which is dedicated to the successful development and launch of Remanufactured Powertrain & Control Components and Quality Improvement initiatives for Mopar
•The Manager will lead several development teams and functions, and interactions in this position, cut across many organizations, within the company. There is also extensive involvement with FCA globally & as well as outside suppliers and various trade organizations
•The Manager will be responsible for setting and managing project and technical direction in development, for all functions managed, as well as collaborate with peer and senior leadership both within Powertrain and across other areas of FCA to develop strategy, plan actions, and manage the overall initiatives
•This individual will have also demonstrated the ability to build, communicate, and execute a vision for strategic and operational change and create a sense of urgency throughout the organization. Candidate must be a team player, supporting and promoting team accomplishments versus personal achievement, with a proven ability to drive change and bring projects to fruition through influence and collaboration across the organization in a highly fluid environment
•Given the complexity and dynamism of this business, the successful candidate will be one who can deliver engineering and quality innovation to key internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s in Business or Engineering, with minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar
•10+ Years of experience in leading a cross-functional team of Engineering & Quality personnel
•Minimum of 15 years’ of experience in remanufacturing process development as a solution to product lifecycle extension
•Experience in Powertrain Control solutions development (powertrain control algorithms, On-board Diagnostics/OBD, embedded software)
•Knowledge of fundamentals of internal combustion engines and experience in engine/transmission design and development and/or Powertrain Systems Engineering
•Experience with electronic module design, specifically embedded MPU controllers electronics desirable
•Familiarity/experience in specifying or designing control system algorithms for inclusion in purchased electronic controllers

•Action a disciplined design, development, and verification process to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction
•Must be skillful in cross functional team problem solving and have strong knowledge of all the functional areas that are supporting the team
•Must be able to evaluate the project level situations, make hard decisions for the good of the program and to meet the program objectives
•Exhibit strong leadership presence by engaging management as necessary to ensure project objectives are achieved and remove barriers where appropriate
•Ability to perform process audits and evaluate the capabilities of third party suppliers for Powertrain Systems & Controls remanufacturing contracts
