Roush has an immediate need for an experienced Dynamometer Test Programmer to join our team. This position is located in Livonia, MI.
Responsibilities
- Utilize PC based software to develop automated dynamometer test programs
- Construct test programs from OEM guidelines in addition to engineer request and feedback
- Implement and adjust PID control loops for desired conditioned elements
- Create control protocols for a wide variety of test cell support equipment
- Interface PCM data with test cell data acquisition equipment
- Develop data processing procedures to deliver data in customer requested formats
- Troubleshoot and correct any encountered issues when testing is being conducted
- Instruct operators as to best practices when testing is being performed
- Additional responsibilities and duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant automotive experience with testing, servicing, or a combination of both
- Experience with automotive test data acquisition methods and equipment
- Must be proficient with computer software, including MS Office applications
- Must be willing to learn and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must be flexible and have strong attention to detail
- Must have excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
- Associate's degree or technical training in an automotive/technology related field
- Experience with script type programming such as Python, C++, or similar
- Proficient with computer hardware, including small local network setup
