•Job Summary
The employee in this position is responsible for a variety of tasks which are essential to providing continuous service to hospitals on a 24 hour basis, seven days per week.
This employee's primary responsibility is to have a working knowledge and be proficient in completing all operations pertaining to the effective filling of orders placed in this department. Must act in the role of Hospital Service Representative when the conditions are appropriate and must be capable of carrying out these responsibilities with manual and automated equipment. Hospital Service Drivers may seek information and some direction from Order Processing Specialist. In compliance with all FDA and American Red Cross standards and policies, the individual is responsible for all aspects of the distribution process, including order entry, processing, and delivery of blood products to the hospital customer.
Maintains orderliness of storage units to include rotation of stock inventory. Maintains a high level of service to hospital customers 7 days per week, 24 hours per day
•Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Experience carrying out responsibilities via automated equipment preferred.
Capable of working under pressure.
Excellent customer service and people skills required.
Excellent written and oral communication (fast learner)
Must be able to work any shift, seven days per week.
Must be computer literate.
•This position requires weekend availability.
•Start rate of pay $15.84/hr
Hours: Part time variable days and shifts; Saturday and Sunday plus 1 or 2 days during the week. Must be able to work all shifts.
