Customer Service Representative Opening in Midland, MI
Job Summary:
Strives to continually improve the quality of customer service by communicating with clients on a regular basis. Processes and inputs customer orders (both inbound and outbound) in customized computer system. Creates and monitors warehouse work requests. Monitors inbound/outbound material activity and prints order labels based on customer requirements. Traces shipped orders and notifies customers of all activity concerning their merchandise. Performs warehouse functions as requested, including opening and closing procedures. Runs inventory reports to check for product availability. Performs daily customer-specific reporting tasks. engages with customers via phone, email or in person. Responsible for filing and data entry. Greets visitors to the site. Keeps accurate records of customers' material while at site and in transit. Adheres to the site's quality and safety standards. Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders, inbound/outbound manifests. Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting and record keeping purposes. Other duties as assigned.
This position will require work to be done on the warehouse floor, not just in an office setting.
Prefer to have someone with 2+ years working in a warehousing or equivalent environment. Good organizational and communication skills. Strong computer/data entry skills. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. High attention to detail.
