Systems Architect Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain work system needed for execution of the engineering processes.
- Develop a deep understanding of software development concepts, practices and tools
- Support organizational adoption of new content, processes and standards through thoughtful change management strategies. Plan and conduct rollouts and help staff members successfully adopt new practices.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain software tools databases that comply with development practices procedures
- Work with organizations to identify engineering processes
- Lead a safety assessment:
- Conduct functional hazard analysis
- Perform risk assessment and devise mitigation strategies
- Lead reliability analysis
- Provide technical guidance on design for safety and security, designing for:
- Redundancy
- Network cyber security
- Real-time distributed computing
- Mixed criticality (core partitioning, freedom from interference, CPU selection, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in development life cycle processes best practices
- Experience in the design, coding and deployment of complex applications using .NET, C++, C#, VB.NET, and SQL
- Strong web-based tool development experience
- Able to troubleshoot a web based application
- Experience with systems documentation and architecture designs
- Strong background in configuration management and CM tools (git, BitBucket, ClearCase, Subversion, etc.)
- Familiarity with IDE tools (SlickEdit)
- Familiarity with system engineering tools (Enterprise Architect)
- Familiarity with requirements databases (DOORS)
- Familiarity with test tools (National Instruments, Vector, etc.)
- Experience integrating disparate tools to create an integrated work system
- Proficiency with industry safety standards/processes and regulations (ISO-26262, MIL-STD-882E, FACE, AUTOSAR, DO-178B, ARINC 653, etc.)
- Proficiency with adapting model-based development tools and techniques
- Working knowledge of real-time operating systems
- Proficiency with various reliability analysis techniques and tools (fault tree analysis)
- Proficiency with various vehicle network technologies, (CAN, Ethernet, 1553, LIN, etc.) with respect to determinism, redundancy strategies (PRP), security, and topologies
- Experience with safety certification assessment process
- Able to travel if necessary

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred with a minimum of 10 years applicable experience. Fewer years of experience will be considered with an advanced degree.
