Dematic has an immediate need for an individual to join our Customer Service (CS), Solution Development Group (SDG), to perform the role of Solution Development Lead (SDL), within our Modernizations & Upgrade (MU), Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) team.
In partnership with sales, the SDL will work with all departments of Dematic to develop creative, competitive and safe material handling solutions to meet a customer's needs. The SDL is expected to lead the proposal team in its efforts to provide a quality cost estimate and proposal, in a timely manner, as well as be prepared to present the results to Dematic management, sales and to the potential customer.

Tasks and Qualifications:
The Role
Works on MU projects with differing levels of complexity, that may include but may not be limited to, the integration of automated mechanical material handling systems, associated drives, hardware, controls & software.
Builds, leads, directs, motivates, and coordinates activities for proposal teams, that may consist of autonomous, subject matter experts (SME's) of varying levels and areas of expertise, inside and outside of the SDG
Demonstrates accountability for meeting proposal team's deadlines and for reporting out on the status of live Solution Requests (SR's)
May perform pre-sales remote support activities with travel to the customer's site when appropriate
Experience
3-5 years of successful experience in related field Demonstrated ability to conceptualize solutions Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage & prioritize numerous opportunities and deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is necessary (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, SAP & Salesforce preferred

Education
BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
Experience
3-5 years of successful experience in related field
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize solutions
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage & prioritize numerous opportunities and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is necessary (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
