The Talent Acquisition and Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership in the recruitment, selection, orientation and on boarding of ministry personnel. The Talent Acquisition and Communications Coordinator will perform a variety of administrative and logistic support to maintain and continuously improve employee engagement at SpringHill.
Key Job Functions
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment system to provide an adequate and diverse applicant pool to fill full and part time ministry positions. This system should utilize social media, SpringHill’s website, competitive posting sites, promotional materials, colleges, churches, alumni and other sources including continual benchmarking of recruiting best practices.
- Conduct and oversee screening, interviewing and selection processes that ensure all employment policies and practices are maintained within federal, state and local regulations and according to professional accreditation and best practice standards.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding programs and processes to include full and part time regular and hourly employees.
- Lead the implementation of annual HR Organizational processes and tasks, including but not limited to benefit renewal, performance management, payroll support, salary increases, employee surveys, etc.
- Assist in the development and execution of ministry recognition, leadership development, coaching, corrective action and termination practices including accurate job descriptions and job scorecards.
- Create and oversee annual training calendar, including training, tracking and logistics. Facilitate and lead training as needed.
- Provide oversight and communication of processes that assure high quality internal and external ministry communication (organizational chart, resignation and termination processes, employee handbook review, vacation tracking/reporting, ministry events/activities, etc.).
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Employee Experience.
Experience and Qualifications Requirements
- Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent experience is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Training and Development
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and best practices related to employment policies and practices.
- Excellent communications skills; verbal and written, warm, approachable and engaging
- Strong teamwork, staff and customer service orientation
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within geographic regions served by SpringHill
- Must be able to lift, bend, and twist
- Ability to push and pull loads
- Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance
- Good hand-eye coordination
