James Gath Trucking in Standish Michigan is looking for a full-time mechanic to help around our shop. We service our own diesel equipment on site. Job duties include changing oil and tires, working on electrical issues and lights for equipment, scheduled and emergency maintenance on all company vehicles, diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical problems, maintain a proper record, conduct periodic safety assessments on equipment, among other duties. This position will work closely with other mechanics on staff and will be asked to do other tasks at times.
A qualified candidate will have truck, trailer, and heavy equipment experience, will have some personal tools, and must be available to work on Saturdays. Certifications not required!
