ESTIMATOR
The purpose of this job is to prepare formal quotes and engineering evaluations on
fabricated components that will be submitted to existing and prospective customers to
secure manufacturing jobs.
Essential Functions of Job:
The essential functions of the job include: formulating, presenting and
following up on quotes, cost estimates and engineering evaluations to existing and
potential new customers
Interacting with sales personnel
Servicing the needs of existing customers, customer contacts and sales leads
Developing and complying with quote procedures
Participating in collaboration meetings with existing and potential new customers; Communicating with customers and coworkers throughout the entire quote process and assist in the transitioning phase from quote to manufacturing
Maintaining quote data, logs, metrics and other pertinent quote data
Assisting in the process of mediating quote differences in an effort to secure new business
Assisting the accounts receivable department as needed to establish credit terms and collecting accounts in dispute
Experience Required:
1 + year Estimating experience within manufacturing field
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, customers and sales leads using superior communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read customer blueprints, drawings and designs
Knowledge of various manufacturing processes used within the company
Ability to work with various costing models; make effective quote presentations
Equipment operated as part of the essential functions: Calculators, telephone;
computer and related software technology.
7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday
