Job Description
The LPN provides a full range of nursing care through the application of protocols, procedures, regulation and standards of nursing practice. The position requires considerable knowledge of basic nursing techniques and methods. The LPN performs nursing acts, functions or tasks under the delegation and supervision of the RN. He/ she is expected to perform the full range of skilled nursing services in any setting, including housing units, transport vehicles etc. The nurse at this level works as an emergency clinic nurse, a staff nurse or as an ambulatory clinic nurse. The LPN works within rules, policies and oral instructions and uses good judgment in selecting a proper course of action. This is a Drug Test position and the LPN works 100% of the time inside the secure perimeter. .
Required Education and Experience
Education Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
Experience No specific type or amount is required.

Michigan licensure as a Practical Nurse.
