We are in search of a CNC Machinist/Operator who can produce machined parts by setting up previously run jobs, setting up new jobs, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and or manual machines based on skill level.
Additional duties include
- Loads stock/parts into CNC Mills or Lathes either manually of by the means of mechanical lifting devices.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to company and customer standards.
- Making changes to worn tools, inserts and makes tool offset adjustments; trouble-shoots problems; maintaining safety standards and quality; keeping quality data and production logs.
- Sets-up mills, lathes, grinders, etc. by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; mounts work-holding devices; indicates vices in and finds locations of work-holding devices.
- Follow Company Safety Protocol and Manufacturing Procedures
- Inspect work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of the shift
Must Have Experience:
- CNC set-up and operation
- CAD and CAM Software
- Blue Print reading
- Using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other gauges
