This position will function as a member of the Automated Driving Feature Software team and will be responsible for the design, development, simulation, testing and integration of SAE Level 3/4 automated driving feature and functional software. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of modern chassis and driver assistance vehicle systems and have a good multi-domain knowledge of one or more automated driving software subsystems; including, Vehicle Dynamics Modeling, Raw and Object-level Sensor Fusion, Path Planning, Path Following, Environment Modeling, Localization, Machine Learning, and High Definition Mapping.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering field
•Minimum of 3 years embedded or control systems software experience and embedded C/C++ (hand-code or auto-generated)
•Proficiency in generating Algorithm Description and Test Case Documentation
•Experience in OSEK and/or AutoSAR concepts
•Experience in embedded software Static Analysis, Structural Testing and Functional Testing Principals
•Experience in embedded SiL/MiL functional regression testing
•High level of technical problem solving ability techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree from an ABET accredited university
•8+ years overall software development experience
•5+ years developing safety critical embedded software functions within an IEC-61508, ISO-26262 or DO-178B development environment
•Experience working within an Agile software development process
•Prior Experience in ADAS, Active Safety, Active Chassis or Automated Driving Software and Controls
•A working knowledge of AutoSAR Adaptive Platform concepts
•Academic or professional development experience with POSIX thread level programming
•Professional development experience using message passing middleware topologies (e.g. DDS, LCM, ROS)
