The Warehouse Supervisor has the overall responsibility of leading and developing highly functioning work teams comprised of team leaders and team members while effectively practicing and implementing FCA LEAN Warehousing Leadership principles — World Class Logistics (WCL). The Warehouse Supervisor position will lead the teams in daily activities, appropriately resolve issues, analyze root cause, and utilize Kaizen activities to drive continuous process and quality improvements ensuring accountability and a safe working environment for employees. This position functions out of Romulus, Michigan.
Basic Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum of 12 months of supervisory experience in a distribution, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or operations management environment
•Must be available/willing to work multiple shifts (day and night), weekends, and extended weekday hours
•Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and lead a team of employees
•Proven ability to foster and create a collaborative and inclusive team oriented work environment
•Must have proven communication and writing skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office
•Ability to relocate now and for future opportunities
Preferred Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree majoring in Business, Logistics, Finance, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
•Experience in LEAN operations management and the ability to use LEAN tools to conduct Kaizens
•Improvement activities, 5s, Workplace Organization, and data collection and analysis
•Experience managing union employees in accordance with appropriate contractual requirements
•Exposure to World Class Manufacturing audit process and World Class Manufacturing implementation
