Job Duties:
- Set equipment controls to meet cutting specifications.
- Remove products or work-pieces from production equipment.
- Smooth metal surfaces or edges.
- Remove burrs with deburring equipment.
- Stack and sort cut material for packaging, further processing, or shipping, according to types and sizes of material.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Will lead department after training period is complete.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Demonstrate proficiency with shop math.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
- Must be able to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
- Other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Candidate must be able to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
- Able to stand for the duration of shift.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Work overtime when approved and scheduled by your supervisor.
Experience:
- 0-6 Months experience in a manufacturing environment.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Degree preferred .
- National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certificate is a plus.
