Job Description
The ERP System Administrator will analyze business processes and program requirements, working closely with users, and department managers to identify and propose new processes or program changes to meet business requirements. This individual will specify, design, and support software programs, reports, and forms in our Syteline ERP System; will develop supporting flowcharts, tables, diagrams, formulas and methods for solving business problems, incorporating infrastructure requirements and interfaces. Part of this function will be researching alternative business solutions and presenting any recommending alternatives, including cost justification. This position will also be responsible for overseeing user training and support, coordinating with other IT functions.
Responsibilities
- Project manager for system upgrade and Syteline installation
- Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future Syteline ERP system requirements to fit company’s business process
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting
- Implement system personalization and customization as needed by departments
- Serve as the Syteline ERP system guru
- Develop modules, functionality, and report customization as needed
- Maintain and automate key tasks to ensure Syteline is running optimally
- Troubleshoot Syteline errors and performance issues as they arise
- Update and document all internal procedures related to the use of Syteline
- Perform database management software systems upgrades
- Benchmark, analyze and report or make recommendations for application improvement
- Provide end-user training and support for Syteline modules and forms
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement and support of the IT Department
- Acting back-up for Network Administrator
Qualifications
- Proven success supporting and administering Syteline SQL, DBA Experience required
- ERP system upgrade experience highly sought after
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of ERP (specifically Syteline system), Enterprise level applications packages, financial, complex data structures, and reporting systems, Syteline forms, tables
- Ability to work with multiple user levels when maximizing the ERP products capabilities
- Proven track record of success working as a team member understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less experienced team members
- Ability to comfortable work closely with IT staff in the design and optimization of data, transformation, and control of data attributes and objects that span enterprise applications
Experience
- A minimum of 10 year experience in IT
- Must have hands on Syteline system experience
- Module expertise surrounding Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Financials, APS, QA, Shop-Trac, and/or Doc-Trac
- Syteline implementation experience with v8 or v9 upgrades, and/or installing Syteline
- Experience with system upgrades and implementations
- Strong experience with change management processes
- SQL required, VB.NET, C#.NET desired
- Oracle experience desired
- Other ERP exposure desired
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, related discipline, or relevant experience
