Environmental Services Specialist - Per Diem (HOU000626)
The ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SPECIALIST works under the direction of the DIRECTOR, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT.
Promotes and exemplifies the mission and values of The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and supports the goals of OSF Healthcare System; utilizes proper methods of cleaning in an acute care facility as stipulated by the Michigan Department of Public Health and Joint Commission in conjunction with established Environmental Services Department procedures; cleans patient, treatment and waiting rooms, restrooms, offices and all other areas as assigned; utilizes and maintains various equipment to include mops, wringers, and vacuum cleaner; performs major floor cleaning functions to include; strips, seals, waxes, and buffs all areas as assigned; shampoos and spot cleans carpets; operates mechanical floor scrubber and buffer, cleans and maintains various floor care equipment to assure it continues to function properly; receives and distributes linens as required for quality patient care; mark linens put in use; maintains inventory of linens in use and the quality of that linen; collects soiled linens; maintains a clean work area; performs any or all associated job duties at any or all OSF St. Francis Hospital/OSF Healthcare System buildings; completes all other duties as assigned by the DIRECTOR, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma or equivalent.
•One year commercial cleaning experience.
•Pass Appropriate Testing at Michigan Works.
