An entry level position that learns the company and department procedures, systems, structure, and supports the efforts of the Dart sales personnel by making recommendations on pricing, sales support, and service issues.
Day-to-Day Role:

Learn the company’s procedures, systems, structure, distribution channels, philosophies, and strategies.

Work with Dart field sales personnel involving sales requests for competitive pricing, contract and bid pricing, and other product pricing issues

Analyze information provided by Dart field sales personnel pertaining to competitive products, competitive prices, and related terms and conditions of sale

Make recommendations to department leadership concerning customer pricing, shipping requirements, terms and conditions of sales, and contract and bid pricing, using a basic understanding of market conditions, Dart philosophy, and Dart policies in the decision making process

Communicate and explain, with supporting rationale, pricing decisions and company pricing policies as well as related terms and conditions of sale to Dart field sales personnel and, on occasion, directly to customers

Evaluate and make recommendations on field sales requests regarding company expenditures relating to customer promotional and marketing activities, trade show participation, and customer requests for advertising support

Assist customers by resolving service related issues beyond the authority of Dart customer service representatives, and handle other service issues when field sales personnel are unavailable and/or immediate action is required

Receive field service reports from Dart field sales personnel relating to product quality and/or customer service. Gather and analyze reported information, and work with the Dart Salesforce to develop the optimal mutually acceptable solution for both the customer and Dart. Make recommendations to department leadership and communicate decisions to the Dart sales personnel and the customer

Author and send customers price quotations, price contracts, and general customer service correspondence relating to pricing and general sales and service matters

Resolve issues associated with past due invoices and unauthorized payment deductions

Provide administrative sales and service support responding to customer and Dart Salesforce requests in a timely fashion

Using customer-provided documentation provide quotations, product information, and other related information.

Help create a positive work environment and be a booster of company policy, procedures, and philosophy. This includes professional communication with all Dart employees

Act as an interface between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence

Learn any relevant computer software used by the department

Document pricing and other decisions

Provide support to others in the department by completing a wide variety of special projects as needed
