Primary teaching duties will include Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Advanced economics electives and graduate courses may be assigned. To foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student-oriented, to advise, to integrate current technology into the learning environment, and to enjoy participating in collaborative efforts to foster curricular and programmatic enhancement. In support of teaching, they will engage in scholarly/professional activities. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in University committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment. Required: Earned doctorate in field from a regionally accredited institution; will consider ABD with substantial progress towards degree completion. Prior teaching experience at a university level, particularly in relation to economics. The ability to merge theory and practice. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Evidence of teaching excellence in a face to face environment.
