Systems Technology Group (STG) has immediate opening for Infotainment Validation Engineer (with Alexa and/or Google Home) for our direct automotive client in Auburn Hills, MI. Duration (9+ months).
Travel Requirements: Required to drive a company car. Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record. Will be required to travel domestically up to 20%.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for participating and performing the following tasks:
- Test Suite Creation - Create test cases based on System Functional specifications, in coordination with the Design Responsible Engineer.
- Test Plan Creation - When performing Ad-Hoc resting, will need to write steps to reproduce a defect. This information will be used to generate new test cases. The test cases will be given to other teams (Roush, Endurance DGE, etc.) to run as part of their Ad-Hoc/Stability testing.
- Defect Management - Participate in Standard Defect Management practices: Defect creation, Clarification, retesting, and verification.
- Responsible for creating clear, accurate, and reproducible defects from which a Design Responsible Engineer (DRE) can resolve defects.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3 -5 years’ experience is required - Must be on the job experience!
- 1 year experience writing Alexa skills and/or Google Home actions (will be validating that the Alexa skills and/or Google Home works. Must be very familiar with it).
- Test case writing
- Ticket/defect management experience
- Connected Application experience a plus (i.e. web, head-set, cloud, navigation)
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) required
- Demonstrated Leadership roles – the ability to take initiative
- Infotainment system experience, specifically features that communicate (connect) with the service delivery platform to accomplish the following:
- Updating applications over the air
- Subscriptions (i.e. WiFi Hotspot)
- Remote Operations (i.e. remote start, lock doors)
- Call Center interactions
- Location based services (i.e. Stolen Vehicle Location)
- Linux/Command Line and/or Telnet
Required Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information technology
