EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in human services, public administration, or business field required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
Experience working in direct services preferred, including case management, counseling or specialized account management required. Knowledge of motivational interviewing and/or strength-based case management preferred. Knowledge and experience on government assistance programs and regulations preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
Fundamental ability to understand, accept and work with diverse people and their families who experience barriers to successful employment retention. Knowledge of Detroit area community programs and services. Ability to establish a network of community non-profit and government assistance programs to be utilized in supporting employees with retention challenges. Skill in directly working with private industry, businesses and employers. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Efficient in electronic case management data activity. Ability to analyze client data to assist with both internal continuous improvement activities and external employer partner support. Comfortable with public speaking and serving as a professional representative of the program to employers, government and community partners.
