The Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams to achieve the program targets of profitability, performance, quality, and timing. The Program Manager will prepare management level program status reports, manage risk, resolve program issues, track and control program spending, drive GPD, coordinate engineering activities with Chief Engineer/ ACE, support Platform Manager, run Platform Management meetings, approve supplier sourcing, manage component cost changes and implement continuous improvement following initial product launch.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics from an accredited ABET or ABET equivalent school (or another undergraduate level technical degree in a specific area of relevant specialty expertise)
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering Design/Development or Program/Project Management
•Knowledge of powertrain systems, especially hybrid/ electric drive systems
•Powertrain organization and process knowledge
•Supplier/ cost/ legal management
•Solid leadership, planning, decision making and communication skills
•Able to quickly lead cross-functional teams to success
•Able to learn new concepts
•Able to coordinate multiple projects
•Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
•History of positive performance, strategic process orientation, self-starter, established, setting direction, and leading change
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited (ABET or ABET equivalent) OR other graduate level technical degrees in the specific area of relevant specialty expertise
•Good analytical and problem solving skills
•Understanding of electrical engineering protocols and standards
•Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Access)
•Ability to learn new concepts
•Ability to challenge people to top performance while working in a dynamic environment with challenging timing constraints
