NetApp is seeking a Director of Influence Marketing to take us to the next level of social success. A critical and key role for NetApp, the Director of Influence Marketing will lead NetApp s social media strategy to increase engagement and grow brand awareness across all social channels. You must be a strategic and analytical social media expert with a proven track record of performance-driving results. You understand what it takes to create and promote engaging content, you are a pro at thoughtfully integrating social media into larger business objectives, and you thrive on evolving social strategy based on what the data tells you. You will lead a passionate team of direct reports as well as drive global cross functional partnerships to continuously evolve a social media strategy that grows NetApp s brand, reach, audience and ultimately, increase conversion.
- Drive social channels, owning the social strategy and execution end-to-end, including listening mechanisms that need to be put in place, the content plan to engage audiences through all these channels, as well as the appropriate measurement of social media impact.
- Own and guide a community plan that targets and engages key influencers, leverages the strength of advocates to scale NetApp solutions discussions, and expands opportunity through social listening tools.
- Works with key NetApp influencers to establish a content plan that ensures alignment with our messaging, campaigns, and events activity.
- Act as a social media advocate across the company, ensuring social is strategically factored into partnerships, events, campaigns, and field/partner channels.
- Lead the analysis of NetApp s qualitative and quantitative social data review target audience performance and strategize new targeting tactics, recommend content optimizations across the marketing organization.
- Direct a team who execute daily postings across channels, as well as collaborate across functions to curate content and engage with all community conversation.
- Stay on top of and report on all developments in the social landscape. Have a POV on how to best incorporate them into our current strategy across when relevant.
- Extensive social media marketing experience, cross-functional coordination, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills, demonstrated success in driving complex strategies and projects, strong communication skills (verbal and written), proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter.
- This person must be a builder : someone who understands what it means to build engines that can scale worldwide and enjoys taking on the challenges that come with that.

Job Requirements
A minimum of 15+ years of experience is required.
- 6+ years experience with all major social channels with a track-record of successful use and high growth that drove business results.
- Previous experience managing & motivating direct reports, with demonstrable expertise in setting team vision and strategy
- Deep knowledge of all aspects of the social media space: platforms, vendors, measurement, content creation, media, and technology
- Proven track record in delivering measured results through planning, managing, executing social media initiatives
- Highly motivated, results-driven strategic thinker, who has strong leadership and business fundamentals
- Must demonstrate very strong understanding of integrated marketing and communications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in creating and implementing communications and campaign strategies nationally and/or internationally and have solid results to demonstrate those skills
- Proven ability to successfully deal with strategic, highly complex issues, problems, and challenges.
- Able to collaborate across groups and influence broad strategic initiatives
- Able to skillfully interact with and influence with executives and senior managers.
Education
Education and Experience;
- BA/BS degree required in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
A minimum of 15+ years of experience is required.
