Representative Material Analyst

Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management - General Procurement Buyer and Indirect Procurement Buyer
- Manage all affairs relative to the position of a Production Procurement Buyer/Planner/Expeditor.
- Analyze Oracle system material needs including issuance of Material Requisitions.
- Solicit bids from competitive sources and analyze the returned proposals & offers.
- Negotiate proposals relative to bid offers, including cost as well as terms and conditions.
- Prepare, place, and monitor Purchase Orders to assure suppliers meet the performance standards and contractual terms & conditions.
- Expedite purchase orders via communication & onsite program reviews.
- Serve as focal point on issues between the supplier & company functional/program departments.
- Conduct and participate in purchase order audits
- Participate in company continuous improvement programs.
- Administer all affairs between the company and its major subcontractors for various types of subcontracts, including both fixed price and cost reimbursement.
- Solicit and prepare Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and Requests for Information (RFI's)
- Conduct cost analysis and fact finding of proposals
- Plan material requirements (MRP) needs and issue requisitions
- Coordinate "Source Selection" process
- Ensure company compliance with applicable procurement laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Able to use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) System and Oracle (or equivalent) desirable
- Able to learn the Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARS Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and international supplements such as the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) or EARS Export Administration Regulations.
- Strong communication (oral and written) and problem solving skills
- Able to deal with all levels of management, both internal and external
- Understands procurement processes and multi-tasking abilities
- High standard of business ethics and practices
- Able to travel domestically and possibly internationally
- Must be able to obtain security clearance
- Desire to expand to increasing levels of procurement authority
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & internet business applications preferred

Education and Experience:
- Required – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Leadership/Management, Economics, Finance, Law, Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- 2-5 years of experience
