A Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled worker who maintains and repairs machinery in the plant. To do this effectively, he or she must be able to detect minor problems and correct them before they become major problems. After diagnosing the problem, the Maintenance Technician disassembles the equipment to repair or replace the necessary parts. He shall also be responsible to follow and carry out the preventive maintenance program.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including CNC machinining centers, high pressure washers, leak test machines and automation equipment
- Must have in-depth knowledge of electrical functions, including wiring and circuitry and PLC controllers
- Must be able to assess and correct machine components, execute preventive maintenance, work orders and repairs
- Maintain all documentation of maintenance work
- Must have knowledge of CNC controls (Siemens) and robots (Fanuc)
- Preferred experience working CNC machining centers including Heller, Mori Seki and GROB.
Job requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical college with courses in mechanical drawing, mathematics, blueprint reading, computers, and electronics a definitive plus
- Minimum 5 years job related experience
- Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronic
- Knowledge of GD+T and ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must have good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics/operation sheets
- Ability to function in a team based environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem solving abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision
- SAP knowledge preferred but not required
- Manual dexterity
- Knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA standards relating to machines/equipment
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Cutting technique and CNC technique experience
