Job Description
The Compression Engineering - Station engineering position is responsible for the reliability of the equipment and systems at the St. Clair Compressor Station Site and as a back-up support for Ray Compressor Station, including but not limited to the following:
•Providing overall responsibility for developing and maintaining a strategic plan to improve reliability of the sites equipment and systems
•Providing direct leadership, development and supervisory support to the Station Management
•Providing technical guidance for troubleshooting equipment and system operational, design and maintenance deficiencies
•Act as Project Sponsor to ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule and budget
•Development of system health monitoring, condition assessments and system health reporting
•Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
•Monitor and control project activities through administrative processes and direct communications to ensure Operationally funded projects are completed on schedule and within budget
•Provide input into the long term strategic plans, developed by the Compression Engineering Budgeting and Forecasting Group, to maintain and improve equipment reliability in a cost effective manner and represent the site in the Business Planning process
•Assist in developing project cost estimates
•Work with the Station Management, Maintenance Crews, and Field Planner Schedulers to ensure proper maintenance activities are scheduled and performed online and during periodic and forced outages
•Ensure replacement components are specified, procured and installed as needed
•Work with the Station Management to ensure station operating procedures are current and reflect best operating practices
•Ensure compliance with the Corporate Code of Conduct, and take a proactive role in conflict resolution
•Work with Equipment Services Department and industry peers to obtain/maintain best practices in the areas of predictive and preventive maintenance, inspection programs, quality control/assurance, etc.
•Ability and willingness to train supervision and employees on process and equipment changes
•The Station Engineer should be fluent in computers and have some familiarity with logic diagrams
Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
