The Supervisor of Vehicle Fleet Management will be required to develop and acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be relied on as a "Center of Expertise" for the Product Development vehicle test fleet and to effectively and efficiently facilitate the needs of the Product Development community. This Supervisor must be business-oriented with an aptitude for customer service, and possess the interpersonal skills needed to work across organizations and develop strong interdepartmental relationships.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Oversee/track/manage the operation and maintenance of Product Development vehicles (Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain, Quality, Product Design Office)
•Prepare annual budget and periodic reports on departmental operating cost including: Competitive Vehicle Maintenance/Trailer Maintenance/Repair/Ballasting/ Inspection
•Manage a Fleet support team - Fleet / Business Coordinators and Facilitators
•Collaborate across the FCA enterprise in coordinating vehicles for testing, applying professional judgment on priority and validity of requests
•Prepare Fleet reports and analysis as required
•Conduct quarterly Fleet quota meetings for Product Development teams to collaboratively establish fleet targets
•Schedule/conduct scrub meetings to review and identify opportunities to reduce fleet
•Manage vehicle disposition programs and initiatives to reduce fleet size and cost
•Develop and drive process improvements to enhance efficiencies and seek cost reductions
•Manage the Special Events Fleet that supports corporate events including town halls, ride and drives, recruitment and media events; in collaboration with Company Car
•Manage the Employee Vehicle Evaluation Program
•Drive Collaboration with Vehicle Control Services
•Manage fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies to ensure compliance with Corporate Audit standards/guidelines
•Support Fleet Management System (FMS) architecture revisions to meet changing needs of the organization
•Ongoing cost reduction and optimization of fleet maintenance
•Collaboration with Logistics and Global Fleet partners to ensure accurate tracking of global Product Development inventories
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree
•Five years of relevant experience in the automotive industry with at least 2 years of experience in Product Development
•Supervisory experience
•Strong Project Management skills/experience
•Professional, strong interpersonal skills; customer service orientation; ability to interact with all levels of management
•High energy
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Communication, Finance or equivalent
•MBA
•Strong knowledge of WCM methodologies; PSAP application experience
•Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience
•Previous fiscal responsibility
