The Training Manager will create, coordinate, and facilitate training courses related to the Branch environment by strategically aligning course content with Retail performance goals. This will include courses that will enhance the skills of all positions in the Branch System, which includes CSRs, CSMs, RMs, and BMs
We are seeking someone to perform the following:
- Create and develop various training courses for CSRs, CSMs, RMs, and BMs which support the strategic direction of the Branch System.
- Stay current with any additional training needs and take initiative to create training programs specific to the level of employee.
- Work with Human Resources Department, IT, Branch Administration, and Branch Managers on scheduling training courses.
- Follow up with new employees to be sure they received superior training.
- Work with various “experts” within the bank on specific training programs that may be identified (i.e. Operations, Product Manager, Loans, etc.).
- Coordinate with and utilize external training programs and products as needed.
- Work closely with CSM and Trainer to establish goals in regards to training needs and development of CSR staff.
- Must be knowledgeable on branch security, compliance, disputes, holds, CTRs, SARs, Branch Capture, exceptions, overdrafts, G/L reconciliation, teller difference tracking, and branch balancing as well as the basic duties of each of the job titles in the branch system.
- Attend all branch meetings to stay current on all branch policies and procedures.
- Continue personal education regarding adult learning styles, training, and development trends. Network with others in similar roles within and outside the financial industry.
- Uncover training needs by acting as a liaison with other areas of the Bank.
- Provide “back-up” support in times when a branch may be short staffed or need additional “on-site” training/coaching. If it is determined that a branch needs assistance with certain operational tasks, the Coordinator will assess the needs and work with the staff to solve problems.
- Based on sponsor evaluations and new hire feedback, the Coordinator may provide “performance feedback” to the appropriate manager.
- May assist BM or CSM on coaching techniques related to training or “new hire” progress.
