POSITION SUMMARY:
The Check Resolution Associate is responsible for sorting, researching, and processing all incoming refund checks and returned checks for escrow for all outsourcing clients.
Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sort and stamp incoming refunds and return checks
- Review each check to determine how to address
- Note IIM and client system (if needed)
- Mail checks to correct address if appropriate
- Mail checks to client for deposit to escrow
- Rush payments to carriers when policy is in jeopardy of cancellation
- Create batches for remote deposit into escrow

Additional duties include, but are not limited to; special projects as needed and acting as a backup within the department while maintaining the appropriate separation of duties.
The Check Resolution Associate will perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Required
- 2 Year College Degree or equivalent work experience
- Must have excellent attendance and no prior disciplinary action(s)
- Must be able to work holidays and overtime as required
- Must be proficient in MS Office 2016 and higher
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline
- 1 – 3 years experience in accounting and/or insurance
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
- Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day
- Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day
- Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor
- Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day
