SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions is actively seeking a Director of Payroll and Accounts Payable for a healthcare company in Detroit, MI. This position is full-time, and this person will be directing the implementation and maintenance of the payroll and accounts payable departments. The ideal candidate has a background in payroll, and supervisory experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs the personnel, operational and financial activities of the Payroll and Accounts Payable departments.
- Oversees and directs the development of policies and procedures for Payroll and Accounts Payable.
- Develops policies, long and short-term goals, objectives and strategies.
- Directs the review and processing of all employee W-2 and vendor 1099 forms.
- Provides technical guidance to all levels of management within the organization on payroll and accounts payable policies.
- Ability to select, train, direct, evaluate, and discipline when necessary of subordinate staff.
- Ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, policies, and JCAHO requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years’ experience in a management role required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll with 2 of those years as a supervisor (or higher) preferred.
- Experience within a healthcare industry a plus.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during normal business hours.
